Unmatched Elegance and Pampering at Unico 20°87° in Riviera Maya

Several Travel Gals were lucky enough to spend 4 nights at the amazing Unico 20°87° in Riviera Maya last November. If you haven’t heard of this newer resort, let me say it’s the next big thing you are going to want to experience!
This luxurious adults only property is located far south in the Riviera Maya near Tulum and Akumal. It’s about an hour transfer from the airport, but I can’t stress enough how worth the drive it truly is. From private check in and champagne greetings, they escort you to a room that is truly unique and comfortable for any discerning guest. Robes are made of a fleece or “sweatshirt” type material which is truly cozy. There are his and her sun hats in the room for a nice gift and you can even have them painted on the days the local artist is on resort. Beds are super comfy and the deep soaker tub on the balcony can be prepared by your room concierge for a nice after dinner soak.
This resort is laid out in a fabulous fashion, with rooms around the perimeter and the pools and a couple of restaurants and bars by the ocean. The service around the pool is impeccable and we were treated like rock stars for our entire stay. The beach is somewhat narrow, but the sand was nice and the water was clean and clear. For lunch, the beautiful seaside restaurant served some wonderful menu items and their buffet breakfast was wonderful. Café Inez was also available for coffee drinks, pastries and afternoon snacks.
The restaurants are all on one side of the resort, with amazing Japanese, Italian and Mexican specialties. We ate at all 3 (the Italian twice) and the food was superb and service was wonderful. After dinner we enjoyed some time in the nightclub and many danced the night away. There is no traditional theater here, but they offered live music in the lobby and the nightclub as well as a DJ later in the evening.
One of the most unique features of the Unico 20°87° Resort is their Unlimited Inclusions. For a 25% service fee, you can enjoy unlimited select spa and beauty salon services as well as golf and select tours and adventures. Our Gals spent many hours in the spa being pampered, took advantage of the gym and many other services they had to offer like in room mixology lessons. This resort is great for a couple wanting an adventurous honeymoon or a girl’s spa trip to relax and be pampered.
